Flat Roofing/Membrane Roofing

Flat roofing comes in a variety of materials that fall into one of two basic categories: bitumen based or membrane. Bitumen based systems include rolled roofing, torch down, SBS systems, and tar and gravel.

Membrane systems include TPO (plastic), EPDM (rubber), or PVC (plastic) and are usually glued into place. Insulation systems can be incorporated into the design of flat roofing systems. Drainage can also be designed into flat systems with tapered insulation panels.
